The Railway & Locomotive Historical Society 2017 Convention will be held in Stamford, Connecticut
June 1 to June 3, 2017. Register now.
The schedule is:
Thursday, June 1: Registration and Opening Reception,
R&LHS Board Meeting.
Friday, June 2: Our plans include a visit to SoNo Tower Museum in Norwalk. Afterward, we will travel by Metro-North train to Danbury and tour the Danbury Railway Museum. Return to Stamford will be by Metro-North train. In the evening we will have our annual meeting and banquet. The 2016 book award will be presented to Robert E. Gallamore. Gallamore and John W. Meyer received the award for American Railroads: Decline and Renaissance in the Twentieth Century. Meyer (1927-2009) was James W. Harpel Professor of Capital Formation Emeritus at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Gallamore studied under Meyer and received a doctorate from Harvard University. Gallamore will be the banquet speaker.
Saturday, June 3: Trip to Shore Line Trolley Museum, Branford. Visit the Valley Railroad, Essex,
Connecticut. Ride the steam train, tour of steam locomotive shops, and dinner on
The Valley Railroad dinner train.

The cost for the convention is $400 per person, with a special rate of $350 for attendees under 18 years of age. See registration form.
The headquarters hotel is the Stamford Marriott, 243 Tresser Boulevard, Stamford, Connecticut.
