Thomas T, Taber III, a long-time member of R&LHS, has devoted much of the more recent years of his life to the compilation of a variety of aids to railroad history research. His most recent work is the Antebellum Railroad Compendium 1830-1860, an encyclopedic compilation of all major published information about this earliest period of US railroad history. Mr. Taber, who is most appreciative for the opportunity, has kindly allowed the R&LHS website to carry his effort to fill this major gap in Internet knowledge of pre Civil War railroads.
