Track workers pose for an unknown photographer at Peru, Ind., around 1913. Nearly all Wabash employees belonged to the hospital association. Membership fees were modest and based on a sliding scale, with track workers paying about 35 cents a month, or about half the fee paid by locomotive engineers. (McCarter Collection, neg. 15806)
