One of Beebe's favorite railroads was the Virginia & Truckee between Reno, Carson City, and Virginia City, Nev. Beebe collaborated with Charles Townsend Copeland on The Copeland Reader (1926) and also wrote three promotional monographs about hotels. They covered the Ritz of New York (1936), the Savoy of London (1964), and the Palace of San Francisco (date unknown).
