Craig Miner, 2013 winner<\/p><\/div><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 50%;\">The George M. and Constance H. Hilton Book Award for 2013 has been made, posthumously, to Dr. H. Craig Miner for his<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>A Most Magnificent Machine: America Adopts the Railroad, 1825-1862,<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>University Press of Kansas, 2010. When Miner died in 2010, he held the Willard Garvey Distinguished Professorship in Business History at Wichita State University. The professorship honored his many books and articles in railroad, business, and Kansas history. Miner received his bachelor&#8217;s and master&#8217;s degrees from Wichita State, and a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado.
